Chandigarh Transport Undertaking Recruitment 2015: 725 Bus Drivers & Conductors

A job notification is likely to be issued by Chandigarh Transport Undertaking shortly for recruitment of 400 Bus Drivers and 325 Bus Conductors.The department has already sent a porposal in this regard to the administration for approval.

1. Bus Conductor:

No of Posts: 400 (Proposed)
Pay Scale: Rs. 5910 - 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
Age Limits : 25 -- 35 years
Eligibility: Candidate must have passed Matric from any recognized Board/University and possessing valid licence to drive heavy transport vehicle for 05 years.

Note: Vacancies proposed for the post of Bus Driver are only for Indian nationals. Candidate will be first called for driving skill test comprising three types of tests

Dug/Ramp Test: Reverse driving (one chance)
8 shape driving test: Those who qualify dug test will have to qualify “8” shape driving test (one chance)
Road Test: Those who qualify both the above tests (1) & (2) will have to appear in road test (one chance).

Note: Passing of driving skill test is mandatory. Candidate failing in any of the above three driving skill test, will not be eligible to appear in written examination.

2. Bus Conductor:

No of Posts: 325 (Proposed)
Age: 18-25 years
Pay Scale: Pay Band Rs. 5910 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
Qualification: (1) 10+2 pass from any recognized board/university and (2) Should hold a valid Conductor’s Licence.

Selection Criteria: The selection of eligible candidates will be on the basis of Written Test and skill test.
